Spirit Level at Palazzo Clerici, Milan

Spirit Level was presented for Talisman, Contemporay Symbolic Objects, a group exhibition organised by In Residence and curated Barbara Brondi and Marco Raino. The show, presented at Palazzo Clerici during the Design Week 2017, featured a collection of talismans, one-of-a-kind pieces made for the occasion by 46 designers. The exhibition was followed by an auction organized by Swedish auction house Örnsbergsauktionen.

Underlay Overlay at MAXXI Museum

Underlay Overlay was commissioned by Museo Maxxi and Alcantara as part of the exhibition LOCAL ICONS Urban landscapes North/South. The show, curated by Giulio Cappellini and Domitilla Dardi, invited designers from eight different cities to interpret urban environments through the use
of Alcantara.

En Concreto at Schloss Hollennegg for Design

En Concreto is a collection of small objects that explore the materiality of concrete and its cultural reference to modern architecture.   The project was presented last May at Slow, an exhibition curated by Alice Liechtenstein at Schloss Hollenegg for Design, a creative platform based in the medieval castle in Graz.

Open Fires at Great Design Gallery

Open Fires, a collaboration with Colectivo 1050º was presented at Great Design Gallery. The solo exhibition was accompanied by a new series of illustrations portraying the making process.

Open Fires at Brompton Design District

Open Fires features the latest explorations by Liliana Ovalle and Colectivo 1050º around the firing process used in vernacular ceramics in Oaxaca. The project comprises a variety of exercises where clay pieces are fired in particular geometric setups created with sand, dung and agave leaves. Each composition acquires black traces of smoke and coal, a permanent imprint of the fire they were exposed to.

Fragment of a Staircase at Chatsworth

Fragment of a Staircase is currently shown at the exhibition ‘Make Yourself Comfortable at Chatsworth' which features contemporary seating to be experienced throughout the historic house. The exhibition, curated by Hannah Obee, include works by Marc Newson, Amanda Levete, Raw-Edges amongst others.

Sinkhole Vessels joins the permanent collection of MAD

I am delighted to announce that Sinkhole Vessels is now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. The ceramic pieces produced in collaboration with Colectivo 1050 were featured in the exhibition New Territories: Laboratories for Design, Craft and Art in Latin America, curated by Lowery Simms. Claroscuro Benches for AHEC at 100% Design London

Claroscuro is now being presented at 100% Design during the London Design Festival. The tulipwood benches, commisioned by the American Hardwood Export Council for Clerkenwell Design Week is part of the show 'Five' which includes a series of objetcs and furniture designed by members of the London-based collective Okay Studio: Liliana Ovalle, Mathias Hahn, Ed Swan, Hunting Narud, Andrew Haythornthwaite & Peter Marigold.

Sinkhole Vessels at Gallery Libby Sellers

Sinkhole Vessels, a collaboration with Colectivo 1050º, was presented at Grandmateria III at Gallery Libby Sellers. The exhibition, which included works by Lex Pott, Peter Marigold and Paola Petrobelli, followed the trajectory of previous 'Grandmateria' exhibitions.

Grandemateria III took place from September 4th to October 5th, 2013.

The Chroma Season, an exhibiton curated by Barbara Brondi and Marco Rainò, was presented at Plusdesign Gallery during the Salone di Mobile 2012. The exhibition featured a variety of furniture pieces exploring the use of color a a means to bring a new significance to an object.

Piedras Tables at Pinta Fair London

Piedras Tables will be shown at Pinta, the modern and contemporary Latin American Art Show in London. For this edition, PInta will be showcasing a selection of Mexican design. The show is supported by the Mexican Tourism Board.
